This approach has earned them a reputation as one of the best teams within the hospitality sector, making them an attractive employer for professionals seeking to thrive in a vibrant work atmosphere.
Leisure Hotels and Resorts operates within the hotel and resort sector, offering a range of accommodations, dining options, and event services. Among its divisions is Hotel Millwright, home to their distinguished Restaurant Department. This department plays a pivotal role in ensuring guest satisfaction by delivering top-notch food and beverage services in both restaurant and banquet settings.
Within this dynamic team, the role of Banquet Captain is an essential leadership position focused on enhancing guest experiences through attentive service and seamless operations. The Banquet Captain is responsible for managing the front-of-house (FOH) service, ensuring that guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service that meets the highest standards. This role involves direct interaction with guests, overseeing service staff, and coordinating with kitchen and management teams to guarantee smooth event execution and restaurant operations.
This full-time, non-exempt position offers a negotiable pay range based on experience, and provides an opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality to advance their careers in a supportive and engaging environment. The Banquet Captain ensures that all service elements—from menu presentation and special request accommodations to cleanliness and ambiance of the dining spaces—are meticulously handled. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities such as managing orders, upselling menu items, supporting staff, handling customer transactions accurately, and maintaining the overall look and feel of dining and event settings.
Employees in this position also work closely with the General Manager and other staff members to manage reservations, address special guest needs, and contribute to inventory management activities. The role demands strong communication skills, the ability to resolve guest concerns effectively, and a proactive approach to improving banquet and restaurant operations. Adherence to uniform policies, proper equipment handling, and collaboration with kitchen and service teams are also key components of the Banquet Captain’s duties.
