Job Description

Bobby Jones Links, established in 2000 and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a renowned club management and development company dedicated to serving a diverse range of golf courses that include private, resort, daily fee, and public venues. The company is deeply committed to creating exceptional experiences not only for its members and guests but also for its employees. Bobby Jones Links operates with a strong set of core values; these include Make People Happy, Do What You Say, Strive for Excellence, Be Driven, and Grow Every Day, which together cultivate a thriving and motivated organizational culture. These guiding principles are more than words—they are the driving force behind the company’s continued success and reputation in the golf community. The company draws inspiration from the legendary golfer Bobby Jones, who famously said, “The secret of golf is to turn three shots into two.” This pursuit of excellence is reflected not just in the sport but also in the way the company approaches every aspect of its operations, ensuring that customers receive superior service and memorable experiences.

Within this esteemed network, The Captain’s Club located in Grand Blanc, Michigan, exemplifies the quality and prestige upheld by Bobby Jones Links. Managed by Bobby Jones Links, The Captain’s Club offers a premium public 18-hole golf course situated within the scenic Woodfield Community. Designed by the famous 1989 Ryder Cup captain, Raymond Floyd, the course features stunning surroundings that include protected wetlands and abundant wildlife, providing a serene and picturesque backdrop for players and visitors alike. The club is currently seeking to hire Banquet Bartenders to join its hospitable team. These bartenders will play an essential role in ensuring that guests at banquet events experience impeccable service from start to finish. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and who pride themselves on their customer service skills and professionalism.

The role of Banquet Bartender at The Captain’s Club involves a variety of responsibilities critical to the smooth operation of banquet events. Key duties include inspecting the bar before events to ensure all supplies and garnishes are ready, preparing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages professionally, and maintaining a clean, organized bar area. The bartender also has the vital task of verifying legal drinking age compliance and responding to any guest concerns promptly by escalating issues to management. Additionally, bartenders assist with the setup and cleanup of banquet functions, supporting the broader event team to deliver seamless and enjoyable experiences.

This position requires candidates to have all necessary certifications and licenses as mandated by local health authorities and the Alcoholic Beverage Commission. The successful bartender must be knowledgeable about company policies and legal regulations concerning alcohol consumption and capable of enforcing these standards with tact and confidence. Physical demands for the job include the ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods, lift equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally, and work comfortably in environments that can be warm or noisy. The Captain’s Club offers a dynamic workplace that values the contribution of every team member and fosters a culture of respect and camaraderie. Joining this team means being part of a company that not only prioritizes excellence in golf and hospitality but also invests in the growth and satisfaction of its employees.
