Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years of bartending experience required
  • must have basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service
  • ability to obtain required licenses or certificates
  • TIPS certification required
  • basic math skills for cash register operation
  • basic English writing skills
  • manual dexterity
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of bartending experience
  • basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
  • ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
  • TIPS certification required
  • basic mathematical skills for cash handling
  • basic English writing skills for communication and record keeping
  • sufficient manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and mix drinks
  • ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items
  • ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods
  • flexibility to work varied schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Set up the bar daily with necessary supplies per banquet event orders and check par levels of beer, wine, and spirits
  • stock, cut, and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to maintain quality
  • greet guests courteously, take drink orders, mix and garnish drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • update par sheets during shifts for accuracy and accountability
  • maintain cleanliness of the bar and guest areas throughout the shift
  • handle cash transactions, verify charges, record charges, and balance money
  • lock and store all beverages, food, and equipment items
  • follow liquor laws and regulations for serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests and assist security with disorderly guests
