Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of bartending experience required
- must have basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service
- ability to obtain required licenses or certificates
- TIPS certification required
- basic math skills for cash register operation
- basic English writing skills
- manual dexterity
- ability to stand for long periods
- flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of bartending experience
- basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
- TIPS certification required
- basic mathematical skills for cash handling
- basic English writing skills for communication and record keeping
- sufficient manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and mix drinks
- ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items
- ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods
- flexibility to work varied schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Set up the bar daily with necessary supplies per banquet event orders and check par levels of beer, wine, and spirits
- stock, cut, and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to maintain quality
- greet guests courteously, take drink orders, mix and garnish drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- update par sheets during shifts for accuracy and accountability
- maintain cleanliness of the bar and guest areas throughout the shift
- handle cash transactions, verify charges, record charges, and balance money
- lock and store all beverages, food, and equipment items
- follow liquor laws and regulations for serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests and assist security with disorderly guests
