With a reputation for hosting high-end events and gatherings, Promontory Club prides itself on maintaining the highest standards in hospitality, ensuring every detail is meticulously handled to exceed guest expectations.

The Seasonal Food & Beverage Banquet Bartender role at Promontory Club is a vital position responsible for meeting members' food and beverage needs during events with exceptional professionalism and friendliness. This hourly, seasonal position is suited for individuals who have a passion for bartending and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, upscale environment. The banquet bartender will play a key role in enhancing the guest experience by preparing and serving beverages skillfully while maintaining portion control and adhering to all regulatory and safety requirements.

Candidates for this position should possess thorough knowledge of traditional cocktail recipes and mixology techniques, and familiarity with fine wines is preferred. Promontory Club emphasizes a professional appearance and punctuality; uniforms are provided to maintain a polished look.

In addition to serving drinks, the banquet bartender will be expected to follow all company safety and security policies, promptly report any accidents or unsafe practices, and complete all assigned side work to ensure events run smoothly. This role also demands a willingness to work at any food and beverage outlet when required, strengthening the candidate's versatility within the club's operations. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs, underscoring the demanding nature of banquet service.

Applicants should ideally have a high school diploma or GED, with previous supervisory experience in banquet or catering environments being favorable. State of Utah food handler certification must be obtained within two weeks of employment, and holding or acquiring an alcohol server training card from the Utah Department of Alcohol and Beverage Services (UDABS) is preferred. Serving alcoholic beverages requires the employee to be at least 21 years old, complying strictly with UDABS regulations.

Promontory Club offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, disability and life insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, uniform and equipment allowance, employee meals, and access to golf on their two renowned courses. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Promontory Club is committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring every qualified applicant receives consideration without discrimination based on race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, creed, age, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, gender expression, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, or military and veteran status.
