The Banquet Bartender position at Thornberry Creek at Oneida is a vital role within the hospitality team. This role involves providing exceptional beverage services at a broad range of events including weddings, corporate functions, golf outings, and other special occasions. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old (21+ preferred) to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Must have or be willing to obtain required alcohol service certification
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old (21+ preferred) to serve alcoholic beverages
- Previous bartending or banquet service experience preferred
- Knowledge of cocktail preparation, beer, wine, and responsible beverage service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and outgoing personality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Must have or be willing to obtain required alcohol service certification
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with event specifications and company standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area throughout the event
- Follow all state and local alcohol service laws, including checking guest identification and practicing responsible service
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely when required
- Assist in setting up and breaking down bar stations before and after events
- Monitor guest behavior and manage alcohol consumption to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment
- Work collaboratively with banquet staff, event coordinators, and management to ensure smooth event operations
