Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • TIPS certification
  • must meet legal age requirements of the state
  • ability to stand during entire shift
  • ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds regularly and exert up to 100 pounds of force
  • previous experience in bartending preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • guest-focused attitude

Job Duties

  • Greet guests pleasantly as they approach the bar
  • promote house drinks and utilize up selling whenever possible to maximize revenues
  • prepare beverages requested according to standard operating procedures establishing proper portions and ingredients to control costs and provide consistent product to the guests
  • monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service should cease
  • notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers
  • check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable
  • set up and tear down portable bar including all alcohol, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies
  • keep inventory of unused liquor and beverages
  • obtain, count and secure bartender's bank
  • receive cash payments from banquet guests
  • give accurate change and balance cash drawer at end of shift
