Job Description

Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Completion of mixology, bartending, or other related training required
- At least one year of related experience preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms frequently
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead occasionally
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at a time
- Ability to understand and communicate with customers to complete orders quickly and accurately
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of drink preparation and service
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and presentation skills with focus on service customers
- Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons
Job Duties
- Daily set-up and breakdown of beverage products for catered events
- Receive drink orders from guests
- Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered
- Take and process payments as necessary
- Ensure that fruit and other garnishes and ingredients are prepared ahead of opening of the bar
- Maintain bar spaces ensuring they are clean and organized
- Attractively display bar products, glasses, and bottles
- Ensure customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs
- Use proper judgment and discretion, and when necessary, refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive
- Communicate effectively with guests and managers to handle last minute requests
