Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Completion of mixology, bartending, or other related training required
  • At least one year of related experience preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms frequently
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead occasionally
  • Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at a time
  • Ability to understand and communicate with customers to complete orders quickly and accurately

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of drink preparation and service
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and presentation skills with focus on service customers
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons

Job Duties

  • Daily set-up and breakdown of beverage products for catered events
  • Receive drink orders from guests
  • Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered
  • Take and process payments as necessary
  • Ensure that fruit and other garnishes and ingredients are prepared ahead of opening of the bar
  • Maintain bar spaces ensuring they are clean and organized
  • Attractively display bar products, glasses, and bottles
  • Ensure customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs
  • Use proper judgment and discretion, and when necessary, refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive
  • Communicate effectively with guests and managers to handle last minute requests
