Job Requirements
- Completion of eighth grade
- One year paid full-time or part-time equivalent experience in building cleaning work
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or capacity to meet transportation needs
- Availability to work various shifts including B and C shifts
- Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- Completion of eighth grade
- One year of paid full-time or part-time equivalent experience in building cleaning work
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Valid New York State driver’s license or ability to meet transportation requirements
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other school facilities
- Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, and polishing
- Dispose of trash and ensure waste receptacles are clean and properly lined
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of rooms for school events
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors
- Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals appropriately
- Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned
