Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
  • prior work experience in food service preferred but not required
  • ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to adapt to shifting priorities and rapid changes
  • ability to understand and follow instructions
  • ability to complete tasks timely
  • able to move, lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • frequent reaching overhead and below knees with physical activities such as pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting
  • occasional climbing required
  • continuous repetitive hand and arm motions
  • ability to stand or walk continuously during shifts
  • visual acuity to locate merchandise and verify information often in small print
  • may be exposed to various weather conditions and indoor environmental variations
  • may be exposed to cleaning solvents and chemicals
  • potential exposure to latex, eggs, nuts, soy, and wheat
  • employment contingent upon successful completion and evaluation of PEP survey, drug screening, reference and background checks

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
  • prior work experience preferred but not required in food service such as restaurant or deli
  • ability to master menu recipes and communicate needs effectively to management
  • strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • ability to follow company policies and food safety regulations
  • capacity to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced environment
  • good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • attention to detail and quality in food preparation and department maintenance

Job Duties

  • support food service department operations including readiness, staffing, supervision, price maintenance, policies and procedures, inventory preparation, financial goals, department cleanliness, and safe use of equipment and tools
  • support replenishment and inventory processes including ordering, replenishment, receiving, invoicing and accounting, back stock, reclamation and returns, damages and reworks, supply use and inventory preparation
  • adhere to proper equipment procedures including cleaning and maintenance requirements
  • follow company and food safety production guidelines for fresh food preparation, production, and processing
  • ensure product is properly packaged, weighed, priced, and labeled according to company and regulatory standards
  • maintain food service department cleaning standards using approved equipment and cleaning chemicals
  • define operational issues and use critical thinking and logic to obtain solutions
  • consistently produce high-quality products and services while ensuring personal and team safety
  • build and maintain positive relationships with customers and associates by demonstrating respectful and fair treatment
  • comply with company policies including attendance, dress code, and willingness to perform additional duties
  • deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating needs and removing barriers to service
  • act with integrity and professionalism demonstrating accountability for attitude and results
  • support the company mission by exceeding customer expectations through dedication and teamwork
