We are currently seeking a Grocery Clerk specialized in Bakery/Deli to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in creating outstanding customer experiences by providing exceptional service and maintaining a clean, safe environment that encourages customers to return. As a Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli), you will assist department management in achieving sales and profit goals while ensuring quality assurance standards are met. Your responsibilities include preparing bakery and deli items to customer specifications using proper equipment, offering product samples to help customers discover new favorites, and providing accurate information on current specials and product offerings. You will be instrumental in maintaining product freshness, proper portioning to limit shrink, and ensuring food safety compliance by strictly following cooking instructions and food temperature logs. Additionally, you will manage inventory, stock merchandise, monitor product quality, and maintain accurate labeling and packaging.

This role requires the use of various bakery/deli equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens, fryers, steamers, and computerized scales with attention to detail and adherence to company guidelines. As a vital frontline associate, you will interact directly with customers by answering product-related questions and making helpful recommendations, fostering a welcoming and informative shopping experience. Further, you will contribute to a safe and cooperative work environment by adhering to safety programs, identifying any unsafe conditions, and practicing preventive maintenance of equipment.
