Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a bakery or deli environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to follow guidelines
- Ability to use bakery equipment and kitchen utensils
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks

Job Duties
- Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items
- Inform customers of bakery and deli specials
- Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes
- Recommend deli or bakery items to customers
- Use bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
- Measure, prepare and mix ingredients per recipes
- Package, label and inventory ingredients
- Check product quality and review sell by dates
- Properly use kitchen equipment such as stove, fryer, steamer
- Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
- Report ordering and shipping discrepancies
- Locate products requested by customers
- Stay updated on seasonal and special ads
- Maintain product knowledge and respond to customer inquiries
- Monitor inventory and stocking conditions
- Ensure proper temperature maintenance and record logs
- Promote trust and respect among associates
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Comply with safety procedures and report hazards
- Perform preventive maintenance and notify of repairs
