We are currently seeking dedicated Grocery Clerks with a focus on Bakery and Deli departments to join our team. This role involves preparing bakery and deli items per customer requests, providing product samples, and ensuring product freshness and proper portion sizes. The ideal candidate will actively promote department specials, use bakery and deli equipment correctly, and maintain food safety standards. This position plays a vital role in helping the department manager achieve sales and profit goals while strictly monitoring quality assurance standards.

The Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will work closely with both customers and associates to foster an inviting atmosphere where customers feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated. Knowledge of store layout and current promotions is essential to assist customers and enhance sales opportunities.

This role requires a hands-on approach to preparing, packaging, labeling, and inventory management of ingredients and products. The Grocery Clerk will also be responsible for maintaining temperature logs, inspecting equipment for preventive maintenance, and promptly reporting discrepancies or safety concerns to management. Emphasis on safety is crucial, with adherence to food safety regulations and active participation in safety programs.
