In addition to customer interaction, the Grocery Clerk is tasked with food preparation duties, including measuring and mixing ingredients, packaging and labeling products, monitoring product freshness by checking 'sell by' dates, and maintaining precise temperature logs for food safety compliance. Proper use and preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment such as ovens, slicers, freezers, and steamers are essential components of the role. Inventory management responsibilities include stocking shelves, labeling merchandise, reporting discrepancies to the department manager, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the department. Job Duties
- Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
