Job Duties

  • Assist department manager in reaching sales and profit goals
  • Monitor all quality assurance standards

  • Prepare bakery items using proper equipment
  • Offer product samples to customers
  • Inform customers of bakery specials
  • Provide fresh products with correct portion sizes
  • Recommend bakery items to customers
  • Use kitchen equipment according to guidelines
  • Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions
  • Measure and mix ingredients per recipes
  • Package, label and inventory ingredients
  • Check product quality and freshness
  • Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
  • Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies
  • Maintain store layout knowledge
  • Stay current with ads
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Maintain temperature logs
  • Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
  • Perform preventive maintenance and report repair needs
  • Report customer or employee accidents
  • Report all safety risks and illegal activities
  • Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
