Additionally, you will help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the department, monitor inventory levels, and participate in ongoing safety programs. Product freshness and adherence to all food safety regulations are critical components of this role. You'll be responsible for temperature monitoring and logging in cases and coolers, conducting preventive maintenance checks on equipment, and reporting any safety risks or discrepancies promptly to store management. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to handle stressful situations, and a basic understanding of math to follow recipes and manage inventory. A current food handler's permit is required upon employment, and prior experience in bakery or retail environments is preferred but not mandatory.
