The Bakery Department Manager role at King Soopers is essential in shaping an outstanding customer experience via exceptional service and operational excellence. The Bakery Department Manager is responsible for promoting team trust and respect, effective communication, and empowering associates to meet and exceed performance targets. The manager will develop schedules based on customer volume, train and coach associates, and actively participate in the performance appraisal process. Besides operational leadership, this role plays a vital part in creating an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by offering knowledgeable guidance and product suggestions.
Additionally, the manager ensures product quality and freshness, conducts inspections, and takes corrective actions. Strategic responsibilities include developing and implementing department business plans, executing sales promotions, and collaborating closely with store management on financial reviews and budget preparation to meet profit goals.
