This particular role at Whole Foods Market involves performing key functions related to customer service, product stocking, and sanitation. Team Members in this position play an essential role in ensuring a positive company image by providing friendly, courteous, and efficient service to customers and fellow Team Members. The role requires engaging with customers on the sales floor, assisting with product preparation, pricing, and packaging customer orders, and ensuring the freshness and quality of products. Individuals will participate in routine tasks such as stocking, rotation of products, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and operating safely within health and safety guidelines.
Team Members must be prepared to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate. They are expected to handle responsibilities such as following cash handling procedures, monitoring product quality, completing spoilage and transfer records, and assisting with opening, mid, and closing duties. The job requires physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. The candidate should be comfortable working in various temperature conditions, using tools and equipment safely, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

New Team Members who successfully complete their first 90 days may receive a base rate increase. Job Requirements
- No prior retail experience required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- Ability to use hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Ability to perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from below freezing to above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- May require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Weighs, prices, and packages customer orders
- Understands venue menus, stays abreast of specials, menu changes
- Follows cash handling procedures related to the service venues
- Monitors product quality and freshness and ensures proper product rotation
- Completes product spoilage and transfer records as needed
- Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques
- Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- Follows and complies with established procedures including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, maintains equipment in accordance with cleanliness and safety standards
- Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensures accuracy of signs and pricing
- Immediately reports safety hazards and violations
- Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
