Job Duties
- Consistently demonstrate the Woods Supermarket D>E service and Hospitality 4 guidelines
- Must adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, and company standards
- Notify management of guest or teammate accidents or injuries
- Report all safety risks and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
- Be respectful, courteous, and helpful to other teammates
- Stay current with all ads
- Understand the store's layout and be able to take guests to products
- Perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Perform other miscellaneous tasks assigned by managers
- Follow proper food handling and safety protocols
- Ensure proper sanitation of department and equipment
- Follow all technical manuals for processing of products, including label placement and packaging
- Update displays, cases, and other guest-facing areas to showcase new items and promotions
- Prep, store, rotate, and stock merchandise
- Prepare items per guest requests using proper equipment
- Inform guests of department-specific specials and make recommendations
- Provide guests with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
- Use all equipment in the department according to company guidelines
- Prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality to ensure freshness and review "sell by" dates
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
- Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and note discrepancies
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and logged
- Follow all food safety guidelines
- Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients per recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment
