Job Duties

  • Consistently demonstrate the Woods Supermarket D>E service and Hospitality 4 guidelines
  • Must adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, and company standards
  • Notify management of guest or teammate accidents or injuries
  • Report all safety risks and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
  • Be respectful, courteous, and helpful to other teammates
  • Stay current with all ads
  • Understand the store's layout and be able to take guests to products
  • Perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks assigned by managers
  • Follow proper food handling and safety protocols
  • Ensure proper sanitation of department and equipment
  • Follow all technical manuals for processing of products, including label placement and packaging
  • Update displays, cases, and other guest-facing areas to showcase new items and promotions
  • Prep, store, rotate, and stock merchandise
  • Prepare items per guest requests using proper equipment
  • Inform guests of department-specific specials and make recommendations
  • Provide guests with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
  • Use all equipment in the department according to company guidelines
  • Prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise
  • Check product quality to ensure freshness and review "sell by" dates
  • Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
  • Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and note discrepancies
  • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and logged
  • Follow all food safety guidelines
  • Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
  • Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients per recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment
