Job Requirements
- No prior retail experience required
- Ability to sell proactively
- Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products in department
- Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness
- Ability to read labels and familiarize with products
- Ability to assist with inventory checks
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift
- Ability to use hands for single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Ability to perform motions like bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to safely use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- May require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Ensure a fresh and appealing bakery display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products
- Stock and clean shelves, bins, and display areas
- Monitor and prevent spoilage and communicate waste to buyers, team leaders, and shift supervisor
- Maintain back stock in good order
- Assist with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing
- Assist with periodic inventory checks
- Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs timely and effectively, and model suggestive selling techniques
- Maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking and merchandising of products
- Follow and ensure compliance with established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment as per WFM standards
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties
- Ensure sign and pricing accuracy
- Immediately report safety hazards and violations
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
