Job Requirements

  • no prior retail experience required
  • must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • ability to stand and walk for 6 to 8 hours in an 8-hour workday
  • hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • capability to perform bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • exposure to temperatures below freezing, refrigerator, and high heat conditions
  • ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • ability to safely use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

Job Duties

  • ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products
  • stock and clean shelves, bins, and display areas
  • monitor and prevent spoilage and communicate waste to buyers, team leaders, and shift supervisors
  • maintain back stock in good order
  • assist with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing
  • assist with periodic inventory checks
  • arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
  • provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and model suggestive selling techniques
  • maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
  • follow and ensure compliance with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
  • maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment and equipment
  • perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned and ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
  • immediately report safety hazards and violations
  • perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
