Job Requirements

  • No prior retail experience required
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
  • Ability to use hands for single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat and reach
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • Exposure to temperatures of up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • May require the use of ladders

  • Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness
  • Proactively read labels and familiarize oneself with various products
  • Assist with periodic inventory checks

Job Duties

  • Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products
  • Stock and clean shelves, bins, and display areas
  • Monitor and prevent spoilage and communicate waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor
  • Maintain back stock in good order
  • Assist with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing
  • Assist with periodic inventory checks
  • Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
  • Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner and model suggestive selling techniques
  • Maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
  • Follow and ensure compliance with established procedures including health and sanitation, weights and measures, and safe work practices
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment and maintain equipment per cleanliness and safety standards
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned and ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
  • Immediately report safety hazards and violations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
