Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one to three months related experience or training preferred
- ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- basic math skills
- valid state food handlers permit
- valid driver’s license or state ID
- physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 50 pounds
- ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- willingness to complete required company training programs
- availability for assigned shifts
- strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- one to three months related experience and/or training preferred
- ability to read and comprehend instructions and simple correspondence
- effective and pleasant communication skills with guests, vendors, and associates
- basic mathematical skills involving money, weight, and volume measurements
- ability to apply common sense and manage concrete problems in standardized situations
- meets state minimum requirements for bakery equipment operation
- valid state food handlers permit
- valid driver’s license or state ID card
- willing to complete Yoke’s training programs including safety and guest service training
- physical ability to handle lifting, standing, walking, and other physical tasks
- strong commitment to company values and customer service
Job Duties
- Reporting for assigned shifts on time and regularly
- communicating clearly and demonstrating suitable physical abilities to perform tasks safely
- promoting sales through active guest discussions, product recommendations, and samples
- providing exceptional service by greeting guests and informing them of specials and bakery services
- mentoring new associates and ensuring a positive learning environment
- performing bakery tasks such as finishing par-bake products, labeling, dating, rotating, decorating, merchandising, and operating bakery equipment
- communicating and completing special orders accurately and timely
- ensuring compliance with safety and food handling regulations
- participating in accident reduction and safety plans including cleaning, equipment maintenance, and emergency procedures
- making guests happy through outstanding service
