This role is centered on production within the bakery department, where the selected candidate will perform a wide array of tasks related to the preparation, counter service, and stocking of bakery products including breads, pastries, cakes, and pies. Job Requirements

  • No prior retail experience required
  • must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • able to stand or walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
  • able to perform single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • able to bend, twist, squat, and reach
  • able to work with FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • able to work in temperatures below freezing to above 90 degrees
  • able to work in wet and dry conditions
  • flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • able to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

Job Duties

  • Produces quality breads and pastries
  • produces doughs, mixes, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, pies, and bars
  • performs baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling of products
  • stocks dry products
  • develops new recipes and production techniques
  • trains production personnel to the highest industry standards
  • performs production planning and forecasting for special events and holidays
  • maintains production modules in the Datapax system
  • provides excellent customer service and addresses customer needs promptly
  • maximizes sales potential through effective prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising
  • follows and ensures compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • maintains clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • performs opening, mid, and closing duties
  • reports safety hazards and violations
  • performs additional duties as assigned by leadership
