The role in question is a retail baking position that involves preparing, baking, decorating, and stocking various artisanal breads, pastries, cakes, pies, and breakfast items. This position requires adherence to Whole Foods Market's high standards of quality, cleanliness, customer service, and operational procedures. The candidate will be responsible for producing and finishing bakery products, developing new recipes for seasonal and special occasions, forecasting production needs, and training other team members to maintain exceptional bakery standards. Collaborating with teammates and engaging with customers on the sales floor is also an important aspect, emphasizing courtesies such as suggestive selling and maintaining a positive company image. The retail bakery associate will follow all health, sanitation, and safety regulations while maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment.
