Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a bakery or food production environment preferred
- ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
- strong attention to detail
- good physical stamina for standing and lifting
- ability to follow health and safety regulations
- excellent customer service skills

Job Duties
- Immediately greets all customers and ensures customer satisfaction
- apply glazes, icings, or other toppings to baked goods, using spatulas or brushes
- decorating cakes and bakery items according to recipes and special customer requests
- measure and weigh ingredients to prepare batters, dough, fillings, and icings, using scales and graduated containers, adjusting quantity of ingredients to match the amount of items to be baked
- combine measured ingredients in bowls of mixing, blending, or cooking machinery
- roll, knead, cut, and shape dough to form sweet rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and other products
- place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets, and bake in production ovens or on grills
- set oven temperatures and place items into hot ovens for baking
- observe color of products being baked, and adjust oven temperatures, humidity, and cooking times accordingly
- order products and check quality of materials to ensure that standards and specifications are met
- maintain proper inventory of finished piece goods
- check equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations and perform maintenance and cleaning
- complete specials projects and other duties as assigned
