Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work and communicate professionally with all levels of management and subordinates
  • Self-motivated problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending squatting standing lifting climbing pushing pulling and walking
  • Ability to stand for long periods up to 4 hours
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs and push and pull up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to work in a freezer environment up to 15 minutes
  • Technical skills to perform basic math and computer tasks Word Excel and Email
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in an efficient and controlled manner
  • Must maintain Certified Food Safety Manager certification
  • Bilingual English Spanish is a plus
  • Flexibility to work various hours shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance work habits and attitude
  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in retail or bakery operations preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to train schedule and manage a team
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and handling procedures
  • Technical skills including basic math and proficiency with Word Excel and Email
  • Certified Food Safety Manager certification required
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Conflict management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment efficiently
  • Bilingual English Spanish is a plus

Job Duties

  • Acknowledge greet and engage guests entering the department
  • Assist in interviewing training scheduling and performance management of department team members
  • Communicate information effectively to the department
  • Maintain a positive atmosphere spirit and morale within the department
  • Manage time and delegation effectively demonstrating leadership skills
  • Support and execute division concepts and programs
  • Contribute to achieving financial goals
  • Ensure quality and consistent product availability
  • Safeguard and control department assets implementing policies and procedures
  • Practice safe work habits maintain store cleanliness and safety
  • Utilize department systems and processes correctly and consistently
  • Collaborate with Department Manager on production and promotion planning
  • Assist in coaching and development of team members
  • Keep department books and manuals updated
  • Coordinate inventory processes and reporting
  • Manage department operations in absence of Department Manager including ordering delegating forecasting and merchandising
  • Adhere to food safety procedures
  • Assist with merchandising of products following schematics and promotions
  • Comply with retail labeling laws federal and state regulations and company policies
  • Perform bakery duties such as receiving cleaning proofing baking decorating slicing and packaging
  • Demonstrate conflict management skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
