Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Champion corporate and division customer service programs to meet or exceed goals
  • Plan, organize, and direct daily operations of the bakery department
  • Conduct daily inspections ensuring compliance with quality, sanitation, safety, and security standards
  • Oversee bakery duties such as proofing, baking, decorating, slicing, and packaging products
  • Implement promotional and seasonal displays while controlling shrink and expenses
  • Order, check, receive, and control inventory for product quantity, quality, and freshness
  • Ensure proper merchandising of products according to schematics and compliance with labeling laws
  • Assist customers with special orders and engage in suggestive selling
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of bakery areas and equipment
  • Supervise, train, motivate, and manage bakery personnel including hiring and disciplinary actions
  • Communicate sales goals and performance to associates
  • Monitor daily logs, sales, labor reports, and purchase reports
  • Attend required training and sales meetings
  • Implement emergency procedures for equipment malfunctions
  • Handle customer complaints and maintain professional relationships
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain department records and prepare administrative paperwork
