This role is an entry-level supervisor position within the Grocery department with opportunity for advancement. The Supervisor will provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, while training, coaching, supervising, and evaluating Grocery associates to maintain performance standards and support operational activities in Grocery, Dairy, and Frozen areas. The Supervisor may be responsible for store operations in the absence of the Store Director or Assistant Store Director. This position requires enforcing government and company regulations and maintaining customer service levels despite a fast-paced, sometimes stressful working environment. The role involves working in temperature-controlled environments with exposure to coolers and freezers, handling sharp knives, and occasionally dealing with dust, cleaning chemicals, and equipment movement hazards. This position requires problem-solving, basic math skills, the ability to follow instructions, and visual capabilities such as color vision and depth perception. Shifts may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.
