- Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation
- Ability to operate bakery equipment and tools
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs
- Adherence to safety and health regulations
- Maintenance of Food Handlers permit
- Knowledge of personnel and sales reports
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age

- Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude towards Team Members and customers
- Good communication skills with ability to give and take direction in a team environment
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department
- Able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Use knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- Able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and for 8 hours per shift
- Able to transfer trays and items weighing up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Possess working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals
Job Duties
- Manage the daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products
- Supervise and monitor product quality and consistency, track inventory, and manage the bakery's budget
- Evaluate department conditions and operations to determine strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop improved practices and procedures
- Ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
- Responsible for correct ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage
- Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- Manage department inventory, in-stocks, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to Sprouts standards
- Plan and order according to company standards to maximize sales and gross profit
- Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions
- Make recommendations on merit increases via bi-annual performance reviews
- Attend and participate in in-store meetings regularly
- Recruit, hire, and make promotion and transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager
- Exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns
- Take and document corrective actions including coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, suspension, or termination
- Create and adjust schedules and staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency
- Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members
- Lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality products, exceptional service, and outstanding customer experiences
- Serve as a Key Carrier for the store and/or act as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed
