Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a minimum of 2 years’ retail grocery experience
- be dependable and reliable
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- stand for up to 3 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift
- able to lift and transfer trays up to 5 lbs and items up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
- operate bakery equipment and tools
- communicate effectively
- adhere to health and safety regulations
- obtain and maintain Food Handlers permit
- have basic math skills to manage reports and financial goals
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age

- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department
- operate and use bakery tools and equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- have knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
- possess a working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals
Job Duties
- Manage the daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products
- supervise and monitor product quality and consistency, track inventory, and manage the bakery's budget
- evaluate department conditions and operations to determine strengths and areas for improvement
- develop improved practices and procedures
- ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
- responsible for correct ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage
- execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- manage department inventory, in-stocks, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to Sprouts standards
- plan and order according to company standards to maximize sales and gross profit
- engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions
- make recommendations on merit increases via the bi-annual performance review process
- attend and participate in in-store meetings
- recruit, hire, and make promotion or transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager
- exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns
- document corrective actions including coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, suspension, or termination
- create and adjust schedules and staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency
- communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members
- lead a team to deliver high quality products, superior customer service, and great customer experience
- serve as a Key Carrier and/or act as Manager on Duty as needed
