Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years experience in management or equivalent
- Ability to work scheduled shifts including weekends, holidays, and overnight trips
- Ability to work and communicate professionally with all management levels and subordinates
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and minimal supervision
- Physical ability to bend, squat, stand, lift up to 50 lbs, push and pull up to 100 lbs, climb, and walk
- Ability to stand for up to 4 hours continuously
- Ability to work within a freezer for up to 15 minutes
- Necessary technical skills for basic math and computer tasks
- Must maintain Certified Food Safety Manager certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Ability to receive phone calls at home
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Must attend meetings including out-of-town requiring overnight stays
- Ability to transfer to another store within the area
- Ability to function as a team member and collaborate with others
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years management or equivalent experience
- Certified Food Safety Manager certification
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Job Duties
- Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests upon entering the bakery department
- Hire, train, and manage the performance of bakery team members
- Communicate information effectively across the department
- Maintain a positive atmosphere, spirit, and morale in the team
- Demonstrate effective leadership through time management and delegation
- Develop team members and future leaders using available materials and systems
- Support and execute division concepts and programs
- Execute and meet financial goals
- Identify operational opportunities within the department and store
- Ensure quality and consistent product availability
- Safeguard, control, and monitor all department assets
- Maintain safe work habits and a clean, organized work environment
- Use department systems and processes correctly and consistently
- Lead meetings with bakery leadership for planning and promotions
- Verify team member schedules align with business needs
- Coach and discipline team members according to policies
- Keep all books and manuals updated
- Oversee inventory processes and reporting
- Enforce food safety procedures
- Approve purchase orders and maintain adequate stock levels
- Manage conflicts effectively
- Perform other duties assigned by upper management
