Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • less than one year of relevant baking or kitchen experience
  • ability to operate baking equipment safely
  • capacity to handle physical demands including standing, walking, lifting under 25 lbs, twisting, and bending
  • adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow directions
  • willingness to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • less than one year of experience in baking, pastry, or kitchen operations
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and safety procedures
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • willingness to stand and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • no certifications required
  • no supervisory experience necessary

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake pastries, breads, desserts, and other baked goods as per standardized recipes and presentation norms
  • weigh, mix, divide, and set up ingredients for daily baking operations
  • maintain and operate baking tools and machinery in a secure and efficient manner
  • oversee the operation of ovens and kitchen devices to guarantee correct cooking timings and temperatures
  • adhere to guidelines for food safety and sanitation, including proper food storage, personal hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness
  • follow kitchen guidelines for setting up and dismantling workstations
  • ensure uniformity in quality and consistency of food across all batches produced
  • prioritize cleanliness, safety, and organization of the bakery/kitchen environment
  • maintain professional communication with team members and guests
  • assist teammates and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
  • perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors
