This global leader in the hospitality industry strives to create opportunities for career advancement and fosters an environment where all employees can feel valued and empowered. Marriott International is dedicated to delivering superior service and memorable experiences to its guests, all while maintaining a supportive and respectful workplace for its workforce.
Join the culinary team at Marriott St. Louis Grand as a Bakery Helper, a vital role that blends creativity and precision in the preparation of a wide range of baked goods. The Bakery Helper is entrusted with producing high-quality pastries, breads, and desserts that meet Marriott's rigorous standards for taste, presentation, and food safety. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to standardized recipes, and a commitment to maintaining the bakery’s cleanliness and organization. The successful candidate will operate baking equipment efficiently and ensure consistency in every batch produced. The role also emphasizes teamwork, professional communication, and a supportive environment essential for a thriving kitchen staff.
As a Bakery Helper, you will be actively involved in the daily baking operations—ranging from weighing and mixing ingredients to managing baking tools and ovens. You will ensure the bakery runs smoothly by following food safety guidelines and maintaining impeccable hygiene and sanitation standards. The role challenges you to stay physically active throughout your shift, including standing, walking, lifting moderate weights, and handling tasks on uneven surfaces. While previous baking experience is preferred, Marriott welcomes individuals who bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. High school diploma or equivalent is required, with less than one year of bakery or kitchen experience acceptable.
This full-time position offers competitive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) plans, paid time off, life, and disability insurance, in addition to flexible spending accounts. Marriott International recognizes the importance of work-life balance and strives to provide employees with benefits that support their health and financial security. Working within Marriott St. Louis Grand’s bakery team means being part of a reputable, respected brand that values each associate’s growth and contributions.
