Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing plant equipment
  • Competent welding skills and basic electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Proficiency with basic office computer software (Word, Excel, email)
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights up to 50 feet
  • Available to work all shifts and weekends
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to learning and following safety, food safety, and departmental procedures

Job Duties

  • Supervise the maintenance team including scheduling, assigning work, training, coaching, and performance management
  • Maintain, service, and repair specialized ovens, mixing machinery, conveyors, product handling systems, and other equipment used in baked goods production
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, OSHA standards, and company guidelines
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records
  • Assist production teams on the floor to minimize downtime or provide coaching/training when needed
  • Communicate effectively with management, coworkers, and team members
  • Work safely around equipment and products emitting heat (approximately 400°F) and in environments with moving machinery, chemicals, dust, noise, humidity, and outdoor conditions
