  • Less than one year of experience in baking, pastry, or kitchen work
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and kitchen protocols
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods
  • Capability to handle, move, push, or tow objects under 25 lbs solo
  • Physical ability to bend, twist, pull, stoop, and reach above and below knees
  • Ability to work on unstable or uneven surfaces such as stairs or ramps

Job Duties

  • Bake a variety of goods including pastries, bread, desserts, and more using standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Weigh, blend, portion, and arrange components for daily baking operations
  • Securely operate and upkeep baking equipment and tools according to regulations
  • Oversee the functioning of ovens and kitchen devices to ensure precise cooking durations and temperature management
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation policies by storing food correctly, maintaining personal hygiene, and keeping the kitchen area clean
  • Follow instructions for setting up and breaking down the workstation in the kitchen
  • Keep up the quality and consistency of food across all batches cooked during the shift
  • Maintain the bakery/kitchen space clean, safe, and orderly to support a productive and welcoming culinary workspace
  • Ensure professional communication with team members and guests as needed
  • Help fellow associates and enhance a collaborative team environment
  • Execute further obligations and roles as instructed by those in charge
