Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to follow detailed baking and food safety procedures
- Capability to lift and move items up to 30 pounds frequently and heavier items with assistance
- Able to work in an environment with temperature variations from freezers, ovens, and coolers
- Comfortable standing and moving throughout the shift
- Willingness to embrace inclusion and diversity
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service-oriented environment preferred
- Knowledge of bakery products preferred
- At least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Answers questions and recommends bakery items
- Answers member calls and takes special orders
- Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following product handling information using ovens and/or other equipment
- Packages freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items
- Unpacks bakery goods from the freezer and displays proper amounts based on production chart recommendations
- Decorates special order or case product
- Rotates and stores bakery products following food safety, freshness, and handling policies
- Receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments
- Ensures all products are fresh and meet quality standards
- Checks for out-of-date products and follows salvage and stale product procedures
- Generates labels and price tickets for bakery goods and performs price checks when necessary
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces including ovens and utensils
- Operates bakery equipment using proper safety methods
- Maintains club policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned including working in other departments
- Maintains regular, predictable, full attendance
