Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- dependable and reliable
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- outgoing and friendly demeanor

- ability to answer phones and take special orders
- ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
- ability to operate bakery equipment
- physical ability to stand for up to 8 hours and transfer items up to 40 lbs
- adherence to safety, health, and regulatory requirements
- maintenance of Food Handler's permit
Job Qualifications
- be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- demonstrate dependability and reliability with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- possess outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and strong customer interaction skills
- exhibit good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- able to answer phones and take special orders
- able to perform general housekeeping duties in the department
- able to safely operate bakery equipment and tools
- be capable of standing for extended periods and handling physical demands of the role
- adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations while maintaining a Food Handler's permit
Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area including cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while managing product rotation and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
- participate in general housekeeping and sanitation duties within the bakery department
