Job Requirements

Ability to represent and support Big Y's culture of caring while living our Mission and Vision
Supports Big Y's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives
Must project a clean and professional appearance
Ability to operate within company policies, procedures, and standards
Willingness to cross train and learn other areas as needed
Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store
Must be 18 years of age to operate machinery (refer to minor guidelines where appropriate)

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is a plus
Strong customer service skills
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
Basic knowledge of food safety practices
Ability to operate bakery machinery following safety guidelines
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks

Job Duties

Prepare bakery products
Stock bakery shelves
Serve bakery customers
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery department
Ensure food safety standards are met
Handle customer inquiries and provide product knowledge
Support cross-training initiatives
