Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with flexible availability
- Show friendly and positive customer interaction skills
- Exhibit good communication and teamwork
- Able to perform sanitation and housekeeping
- Capable of operating bakery machinery
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Maintain Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Demonstrate dependable and reliable behavior with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
- Possess good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Able to perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
- Capable of operating bakery equipment safely
- Ability to stand for extended periods and physically transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs
- Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing debris
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
- Answer phones and take special orders
