Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years bakery experience or comparable education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand up to 3 hours continuously for up to 8 hours per shift
- Ability to lift and transfer trays up to 5 lbs from 7 inches to 64 inches for up to 10 hours
- Ability to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs from 5 inches to 36 inches for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- Maintain a Food Handler's permit
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Ability to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Ability to operate bakery equipment
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Demonstrate dependability and reliability with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and strong customer interaction skills
- Have good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties in the bakery department
- Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, products, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- Operate bakery equipment and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
- Answer phones and take special orders
