The role in question is a Bakery Associate position that revolves around packaging, labeling, and pricing bakery products while maintaining optimal stock levels and product quality. The Bakery Associate works closely with bakery personnel to prepare and package goods, label products, and maintain attractive, well-stocked displays. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age required
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy
  • Food Handler certification required
  • Typically involves on-the-job training

  • Ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as a bread slicer, commercial oven

  • Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners in written and verbal form
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Adheres to quality control and food safety standards by stocking and rotating baked goods
  • Assists bakery personnel with preparing, packaging, labeling, and maintaining product displays
  • Promotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives
  • Stacks pallets and sorts product into correct locations according to Company efficiency standards and expectations
  • Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures
  • Provides friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions and taking orders by phone and in person
