Job Requirements
- Food handler card or equivalent certification
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds occasionally
- Ability to read and comprehend product labels and pricing codes
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively to customers and staff
- Willingness to perform cleaning duties
- Availability to work in a fast-paced grocery store environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service or retail preferred
- Basic writing and reading comprehension skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Basic PC and Outlook skills (preferred)
- Retail Management Certificate (preferred)
Job Duties
- Provide friendly and courteous service to bakery customers
- Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders
- Clean bakery shelving, display cases, and self-serve displays
- Rotate bakery products to maintain freshness
- Collaborate with the Baker to identify baking and decorating needs
- Maintain cleanliness of the department including floor hosing
- Lift and move bakery products and supplies as needed
