Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
display outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
good communication skills
ability to take direction and work in a team
ability to answer phones and take special orders
perform general housekeeping and sanitizing duties
operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
ability to lift and transfer bakery trays up to 40 pounds
adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
maintain a Food Handler’s permit

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
possess 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
possess good communication skills
ability to work in a team environment and take direction
able to answer phones and take special orders
able to operate bakery equipment and use scales for weighing and labeling
ability to stand for extended periods and lift bakery trays and items as required
maintain a Food Handler’s permit

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating and discarding outdated bakery products
receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks as needed
adhere to all safety, health, and food handling regulations
