Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
  • dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • display outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
  • good communication skills
  • ability to take direction and work in a team
  • ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping and sanitizing duties
  • operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
  • ability to lift and transfer bakery trays up to 40 pounds
  • adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • maintain a Food Handler’s permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • possess 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • possess good communication skills
  • ability to work in a team environment and take direction
  • able to answer phones and take special orders
  • able to operate bakery equipment and use scales for weighing and labeling
  • ability to stand for extended periods and lift bakery trays and items as required
  • maintain a Food Handler’s permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating and discarding outdated bakery products
  • receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks as needed
  • adhere to all safety, health, and food handling regulations
