Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
be dependable and reliable with flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
have outgoing and friendly behavior
demonstrate good communication skills
be able to answer phones and take special orders
perform general housekeeping and sanitization
be able to operate bakery equipment
stand for long periods
transfer trays and bakery items up to 40 lbs safely
adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
maintain a Food Handler's permit

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
be dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
possess good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
have knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
provide a high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment by cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated items
receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
answer phones and take special orders
perform general housekeeping in the bakery department including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
