Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have outgoing and friendly behavior
- demonstrate good communication skills
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitization
- be able to operate bakery equipment
- stand for long periods
- transfer trays and bakery items up to 40 lbs safely
- adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handler's permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
- possess good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- have knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment by cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping in the bakery department including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
