Job Requirements

be at least 18 years of age
high school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years bakery experience or relevant education and experience
dependability and reliability
ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
outgoing and friendly demeanor
good communication skills
ability to answer phones and take special orders
ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation
knowledge and operation of bakery equipment
physical ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for 8-hour shifts
ability to transfer trays and items weighing up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
adherence to safety and health regulations
maintain Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
good communication skills
ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and hand trucks
ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks
adherence to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
possession of a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
provide a high level of customer service and ensure that bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated items
receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
answer phones and take special orders
perform general housekeeping and sanitation of the bakery department area
