Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • dependable and reliable
  • ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • positive attitude
  • ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for 8 hours per shift
  • ability to lift trays up to 5 lbs and items up to 40 lbs repeatedly
  • adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • maintain Food Handlers permit
  • perform cleaning and sanitation duties in bakery department

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • good communication skills
  • ability to take direction and work in team environment
  • outgoing and friendly behavior
  • ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • knowledge of scales and weighing products accurately
  • ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

Job Duties

  • Prepare and package baked goods
  • assist the Bakery Manager in baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising
  • provide high level of customer service
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bakery area and equipment
  • stock, fill, face products and ensure pricing accuracy
  • examine product rotation and discard outdated items
  • receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature and quality
