Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
dependable and reliable
ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
positive attitude
ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for 8 hours per shift
ability to lift trays up to 5 lbs and items up to 40 lbs repeatedly
adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
maintain Food Handlers permit
perform cleaning and sanitation duties in bakery department

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
good communication skills
ability to take direction and work in team environment
outgoing and friendly behavior
ability to answer phones and take special orders
knowledge of scales and weighing products accurately
ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

Job Duties

Prepare and package baked goods
assist the Bakery Manager in baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising
provide high level of customer service
maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bakery area and equipment
stock, fill, face products and ensure pricing accuracy
examine product rotation and discard outdated items
receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature and quality
