Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Be dependable and reliable
Have an outgoing and friendly behavior
Possess good communication skills
Ability to take direction and work in a team
Be able to answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
Ability to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs
Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
Possess good communication skills and ability to follow directions
Be dependable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Be able to operate bakery equipment safely
Maintain a Food Handlers permit
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in the bakery department including cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of bakery products while discarding outdated or spoiled items
Receive, inspect, and log product shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks as needed
Take special orders and answer customer inquiries via phone
