Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Have an outgoing and friendly behavior
- Possess good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and work in a team
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
- Ability to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Possess good communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Be dependable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Be able to operate bakery equipment safely
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in the bakery department including cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of bakery products while discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log product shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks as needed
- Take special orders and answer customer inquiries via phone
