Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior
- Have good communication skills
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
- Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, and pallet jacks
- Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and transfer items up to 40 lbs
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain a valid Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Demonstrate dependable and reliable work ethic with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude and customer interaction skills
- Possess good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation in bakery areas
- Capability to operate bakery tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical demands of the role
- Adhere to safety, health, and weight regulations and maintain a valid Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Operate and use bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
- Answer phones and take special orders while performing general housekeeping duties
