Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
Be dependable and reliable with flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior
Have good communication skills
Ability to answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, and pallet jacks
Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and transfer items up to 40 lbs
Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Maintain a valid Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Demonstrate dependable and reliable work ethic with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude and customer interaction skills
Possess good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team environment
Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation in bakery areas
Capability to operate bakery tools and equipment safely and efficiently
Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical demands of the role
Adhere to safety, health, and weight regulations and maintain a valid Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
Operate and use bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
Answer phones and take special orders while performing general housekeeping duties
