Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
possess 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
be dependable and reliable
work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
have outgoing and friendly behavior
have a positive attitude
have good communication skills
able to take direction and work in a team environment
able to answer phones and take special orders
perform general housekeeping tasks
able to operate bakery equipment
able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and up to 8 hours per shift
able to transfer trays up to 5 lbs vertically
able to transfer items up to 40 lbs vertically and horizontally
adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
maintain a food handler's permit

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
dependable and reliable
ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
outgoing and friendly behavior
positive attitude
good communication skills
ability to take direction and work in team environment
able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and hand trucks
knowledge of scales and weight measures
able to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 40 lbs
food handler's permit or ability to obtain it

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
provide high level of customer service
ensure cleanliness of the bakery department area
maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy
examine rotation of bakery products and discard outdated items
receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
answer phones and take special orders
