Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
Dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
Good communication skills
Ability to take direction and work in a team
Ability to answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping duties
Ability to operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift continuously for up to 3 hours
Ability to lift and transfer trays up to 5 lbs and items up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Maintain Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Friendly and outgoing behavior with positive attitude
Good communication skills and ability to take direction
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to answer phones and take special orders
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to operate bakery tools and equipment safely
Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift weights as required
Ability to adhere to safety, health, and hygiene regulations

Job Duties

Assist the bakery manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented while maintaining cleanliness of the bakery area
Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
Stock, fill, face, ensure pricing accuracy, examine product rotation, and discard outdated or spoiled items
Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
Operate and use bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
Perform general housekeeping duties including sanitizing work areas and maintaining food safety standards
