Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform cleaning duties and maintain sanitary work areas
- Able to operate bakery equipment
- Capability to stand and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Possess good communication skills
- Have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Ability to interact with customers and work in a team environment
- Able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to stand up to 3 hours continuously and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing debris
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating bakery products and discarding outdated items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and clean and sanitize work area including tables, floors, walls, cases, cooler, and freezer
